Econfina ?

Post by caseycook »

I've never been to the Econfina before...how far past the Aucilla River ramp entrance is the Econfina ramp? Coming from 59 heading towards Perry on 98, is the ramp on the right or left side of the road...I'm assuming the right, but wasn't sure...are there any landmarks to look out for to ensure that I don't miss the road to the ramp? Any other help would be appreciated...

Thanks,
CC

Big sign on right. Look for Hwy 14 and take right. 5 miles to ramp. Be careful going in if you have a big boat and it is low tide.

Here is overhead of anky. Rock area and tree stump listed.....

I would advise going out and in on a 1.5 ft or higher tide if you are new at it....

Here is another image at the mouth with the new markers they just put up and the route I take going out....
It gets real shallow to the right of the Tripod going straight out.....

Even first timers should have no problems with a gift like that from the tides Gods. :-D

Yea Casey,
You lucked out as to when to pick a time to go to Ecky. Just look at the map DT posted . it s pretty darn accurate as is his route he has highlighted. Good luck and if you hit a bar, youve got my number , or just stop and fish and when the tide changes , it'll bring ya back in!!! :smt005

Looks like to me you can hang out on 98 and follow the trucks with the Georgia tags. There's a good chance they're going tomorrow. :-D
