Well what can I say. First of all let me tell you fellas when to go flats fishing, anytime between Monday thru Friday. We started early this morning leaving Cairo at 4:00 A.M and launching the boat at about 5:40. My first intensions was to go to the Redfish honeyhole first thing, but the gale force winds and rain kept us from doing that. So we began fishing the river and we caught 3 nice reds and where content with that, so off to the trout hole. We got out there about 7:30 and we were done about 10:30. We had caught all the trout we wanted to catch so off to the sponge and coral beds.Man, these beds were full of life, and guess what we decided to do, you got it, drift live pinfish. You are not gonna believe what happened next, my partner dropped a pin under a ct and before it got behind the boat good we heard a very alarming splash and looked down and a huge silver streak came by with ct dragging & 132 MPH behind him and my bud set the hook and it lasted about 10 seconds. Guess what it was, yep the king of all silver kings. Oh well it was fun while it lasted. But we had a great day fishing as always. And oh yeah, there was only 6 trucks at the landing when we returned.

Looks like a great day--- but little fishes :D :D

No for real- good day and a quick limit.
The Tarpon sounds like it capped it all off!!

You are right about going during the week.
Even though I miss out fishing tourneys on the weekends
And don't get to take buddies who work M-F because I'm out with customers on the weekends.

It ROCKS to have the water to yourself during the week.
