Got to the ramp with a fishing buddy from Cairo EARLY !!! and ran into Dubble Trubble. Headed of Econfina and went west and east and shallow and deep. Didn't matter where I went it was hot...The air, not the fishing. Stayed with it til about 3. Ended the day with a decent box of fish. 6 trout, 3 rockies and 2 of these
Can someone enlighten me as to what kind of fish this is and is it good to eat ?
Here's a picture of the rest of the catch minus one trout that got cleaned before the photo
It was hot but still a lot of fun...looking forward to next Saturday...........now time for bed
It ain't no grunt.

That's some good info guys, I caught one last time I was at Econfina and didn't have any idea what it was and tossed it back. It's not too often I catch I fish I can't identify, but that one stumped me. Now I know
