Econfina 6-9-07

Post by caseycook »

One of my college buddies came down for the weekend and we left the ramp at Econfina around 6:15. Headed East to Rock Island and let the wind continue to drift us East. We stayed in shallow and caught a few keeper trout and redfish on topwater lures. The bite was slow in shallow so we moved out to 3-5' of water and picked up a few trout on jigs. We fished from the Aucilla back to Rock Island, but couldn't find where the fish were...it was one of those days.

Dad got the party started with a keeper on his skitterwalk

Final Tally
5 keeper trout to 22"
4 redfish to 23"
4 ladyfish
Boom goes the dynamite.
