JR to go to Hendrick Motor Sports
Just heard on Fox news, Jr is signing with Hendrick Motor Sports. (Forgive him Big E). I know Id heard this rumor , but now it has been confirmed. Maybe he'll get the support I guess he now needs to be able to actually win a race again.

He did what he thought was best for him to get a Cup title under his belt as soon as possible. I can understand that, allbeit tough to swallow.birddog wrote: Rocket, how the hell are you dealing with this. Help me out partner, I'm starting to get the shakes.
He also wanted an owner that would allow him to put some QT in JR Motorsports. He got that in Rick Hendrick. Makes sense to learn from the best team, and utilize that from your own team.
This thing will go over so much smoother if Teresa lets the #8 go with him. If not, it will be very awkward to see him in a different #. I get the feeling if the # goes with him, many fans will make the transition. BUT, if Kyle Busch or Greg Biffle or Loren Wallace (kid from the GEICO commercials) crosses the finish line in that 8 car, deys gone be sum MAD Alabamians!!! The beer cans will look like snow. Not that I condone that. My point...she should turn loose of the 8.
Birddog, I too had the shakes but had a sinking feeling this was going to happen. I got a laugh when I heard Jr respond to a reporter saying his Dad would be jealous of his new ride

If you are a race fan you understand why he went to Hendrick. This is not only one of the best team in NASCAR, this is one of the best organizations in any type of sport. Plus being teamed with "Wonder Boy" Jeff Gordon is probably the best thing for him. The media and fans make the rivalry more than it is. Plus, away from the track these guys are all friends. If you watched the press conference or ever seen these two together they have a great respect for each other.
I think Dale Sr. would be every proud. His son is driving for the top team in motorsports..... Yes, I know if he was still around he probably wouldn't have left. However, I don't think he'd be giving Jr ownership rights either though. Dale Sr. would have told him to get another job.
