Question about Trailer

Post by mrexcitmnt »

Just got my first boat, (10 foot bass boat) and my brother in law gave me a jet ski trailer to use for the boat. Wandering if it is illegal to have the boat extend about a foot past the end of the trailer. And does anyone know if a trailer this small needs to have its own tag? I have heard yes and no due to its small size.

Most boats extend a foot past the trailer so you should be ok there.

Just make sure you have working lights and have it registered and you should be good to go.

1. Yes

2. Yes for most states. Florida does require a tag on all boat trailers.
