A couple of the boys and I (Stumpy & Fat Bastard....you know who you are

) decided that Saturday night was a good night to do some night fishing. So, we loaded up the boat, a few big rods. a few

(co-colas) and some cut bait and headed to the water. Launced at Shields around 9:30pm after being thoroughly probed by the man....never knew it was a no-no to have your lifevest still in the plastic while stored on the boat.....but fouund out the hard way the other night
Anywho, started out the channel and the spotlight quit

Thought to ourselves, should we be out here??? The reply was "sure"....there's a good moon out and we got running lights. We went a little ways down the river and saw a few other boats spotting the channel so we figured we could play follow the leader back in if necessary
I started throwing a chugbug and the other 2 fellas were throwing the trusty gulp. They managed a bunch of nice sailcats with them things. All I managed was a few nice strikes in the moonlight. Never boated a fish, but it was fun to watch 'em hit in the moonlight. The fish were very agressive on topwater, I just couldn't hook 'em.....and the few it did hook, got off.
The goal of the night was to go catch a few sharks, but we never even made it to the lighthouse

....had too much fun carrying on in the river hanging BIG sailcats and slandering each other about everything from poor body physique to bad body odor and everything in between......Good Times & alot of laughs
The conditions were ideal. Light breeze, clear skies and calm water. I'm sure we could be heard from miles around
Probably going to do it again real soon!!!!
