SGI Boat Ramps

Post by redfisher2424 »

Heading to Saint George this weekend for a little fun with some friends. Just wondering about boat ramps on the island any comments good or bad or the best one would be great.

The ramp @ the base of the bridge on the St George Sound side is where I always put in. Its a dirt ramp but most people use it. There also one towards the park. If you use either, watch your tides and dont be timid. At the base of the bridge, put your boat in hammer down on it and dont let out . Hang a left and follow the telephone poles down to the channel. Good luck!

Why? For those of us who might get down there one day...

It gets shallow at the bend heading out from the landing. You might want to be up on plane to clear it if the tide is marginal. Its all sand until you get to deeper water. That may be what BB is referring to.
