19 boats and 45 folks

Post by Jumptrout51 »

19 boats and 45 folks participated in the July 7 NFGFC tournament.
Back at Jerrys Bait and Tackle the Jambalaya was cooking in the pot. :lick: OneKeepers girlfriend Trinka put out a good meal for everyone to enjoy. She made enough for everyone who wanted got a TO-GO box.
Thank you TRINKA.

Every boat had fish to weigh.
Nobody caught the $200 COBIA bonus fish sponsored by Badcock and More,Jay Evans(BadBehavior).
Next months bonus fish is worth $300. Species to be determined.
First Place went to Welby,Skeeter22 and Little Skeeter.(Rock Island)
Second place was hard earned by JT51 and BigT.(Everywhere)
Third place went to TyOneOn and OneKeeper.(Smith Beach)
Big Fish at 4#2oz was worth $150 caught by Skeeter22.
Free door prizes provided by our sponsors was a hit with all anglers.

Next months tournament will be out of Jerrys Bait and Tackle on August 11.
We had 2 new members sign up and fish this tournament. During the weighin and food festivities we had 3 people come up and asked to join the club. They said they liked the comraderie, the food, the ladies and kids and the lowkey tournament participation they saw.
They were correct everyone was having fun as usual.
Hope to see more of you at the August 11 event.

I enjoyed my day of fishing yesterday. It was tough all day but at the end of the day we had a box of fish that I would kill for any day in June, July, or August.

We caught 15 species of fish yesterday.

We had to move all the way to 12 feet of water to get away from these...

At what seemed like the 11th hour we managed to pull in a good kicker fish to secure 2nd place. The fish was 24.5 inches and weighed 3.85 lbs.

Back at the weigh-in everyone was having a great time. The jambalaya was out of this world.

Thanks to JT51 for being a good host and Captain. I'll give you one of those Capt. Mike's spoons if you want one... :-D :-D

I appreciate the offer but no thanks. Seems they are only good for redfish since you continuously caught one after the other.
Now if you come across a trout lure that produces trout like your Capt. Mikes' spoon produces reds then we will talk.

Next time we fish a trout tournament I am starting you off in12' of water.

That would be Captain JT to you. The most famous Captain between Keaton Beach and Port St. Joe for in-shore fishing.
(Note) FISHING not CATCHING.
Captain JT guarantees FISHING TRIPS not CATCHING TRIPS.
However,if you want to go CATCHING,I can guarantee that too. I cannot promise what or how many, but, you will catch something.
