The adventures of BAD BEHAVIOR , Ecky 7/7/07

Post by BAD BEHAVIOR »

Left Cairo late Saturday Morning, got to Jerry's around 5:40. Good to meet ya TC! Got registered and on to Ecky. We put in @ 7:00 after a few in- boat wagers, we begin fishing. Nothing, nada, nunca! No fish until 10:30. We fished hard in close until we couldnt stand it anymore and headed off. Stopped @ the first hole and put a couple of 16's in the box. As I was trying to take the plastic off my new rod I was fishing with , my hand slipped from having just put on sunblock. In the drink goes my rod, to my kness I go, hand stabbing in the water after the rod. First attempt, I missed , second attempt I got the rod. However, the same slick hand I dropped the rod with had no grip on the side of the boat either. Not happy. Head first into the drink. First thought, OH SHIOT, SHARK!!! As I emerge, the two arseholes in the boat are howling. No offer of help, no sentiments, just uncontrolable laughter. After a few frig ya'lls were handed out , I attempt to role 250 lbs of wet arse into the back of Bad Behavior. I climb up the back or her and as I hoist my body up over the back of the boat, my foot slips off the side of the motor, back in the drink. As I emerge, the howling is louder. I told them I was positive I needed new fishing partners because I was sure they were the only two bas--tids that would laugh at a fellow in such shape. Finally got back in the boat, Moved on over to another spot where we have caught some smokers before and put a 19" trout in the box. Then hung a catfish, broke my new rod, should of just left the dang thing on the bottom of the bay, Id of been a lot drier. A couple of trout later, we had a limit to weigh in. About 2:30 we had to make a decision, I said we've got 7-8 lbs, do you think we should go?? We quickly decided to fill the table instead of the scales. Fished on until about 4:00 , final tally Bad Behavior 6 keepers 5 rockbass, Bow'd Up 2 keeper trout, BCrew 2 trouts 2 rockbass. All in all a slow day but on the water none the less. Maybe next time we can get our act together and place in the tourney. And to Bowd and BC, great time. Enjoyed the day with you guys and ya'll need to either do more fishin or less bettin in the future. If I take much more of your money, Im gonna have to send you a 1099!!! :smt005

They must have been better fishing partners than you think....

I'd have snapped a few photos of you in the drink!

Even though it was slow, you still brought in a damn good mess of fish! Maybe you should buy some of those kiddie floaties to attach to all your rods as many as you drop in the drink

I just get so dang excited!!! You ever fish with me, its an adventure, that I can promise!! I love to see a fish running a line sideways in the water, on my line or not!! I get all giddy when someone gets Bow'd up on a big fish or catches their first fish of a certain species. Thats the fun in fishing to me. You wanna see me get riled up? Hang into your biggest red or trout or maybe even hang a good cobe, makes me almost moist!!! :smt005

It wasn't a bad day for swimming. Too bad about the rod though. :(
