Fishing 7/19 and 7/20

Post by Eerman »

Mom and Dad are down for a visit. Took today and yesterday off to take Dad out for a little fishing. I wish I could post a "Casey Cook" report; but, things were slow for us. We managed a few fish here and a few fish there. In two days, we fished from just west of Aucilla, all the way to Spring Creek. Picked up a few small trout and few reds and various other stuff with fins, gills, and such. Here are a few highlights:

Dad needs to learn to use the zoom button. But this was a horse at 29". Of course, she wasn't exactly a 40 incher either  .

Dad had a blast landing this bonnethead on 6lb test and a grub.

Had trouble finding any consistent trout bite...this was one of the bigger ones. :(

Funny story...this morning I was throwing a Skitterwalk. Something hefty hit it. As soon as I set the hook, the line snapped. Cruising along about 4 hours later...about a mile or so from where all this happened...Dad says "What's that." Sure enough, there's my Skitterwalk floating along. 4 of the trebles straightened out.

Good time on the water, even if fishing was slow.
