Ram 2500--What's it worth?
I have a 1999 Ram Quad Cab 2500 with cummins deisel, 57000 miles. It's loaded with leather, power everything, heated mirrors, premium sound, running boards and ARE fiberglass cap. The truck looks and smells new. I've had some problems with it (fuel system), but it is currently being repaired. I bought the truck to tow a large boat which I no longer own, so I'm in the market for a 1/2 ton gas burner. The question is what is it's real value? NADA quotes high retail of $17,350. Kelly quotes high retail of $14,675. I won't even mention trade-in values as they are insulting, but I believe a bank wouldn't hesitate to loan $19,000 for this truck. I'm gonna check on the bank thing Monday morning. The research I've done on autotrader.com suggests that trucks routinely go for above MSRP. What are yall's thoughts? Thanks

Truck Value
I traded a 2000 model F250 Powerstroke, 4X4 last year and got $17k for it. It had 115k miles on it, but was in great shape.

DODGE 2500
WE BOUGHT A 2001 CUMMINS DIESEL 4 DOOR KINGCAB 2500 THAT HAD 55,000 MILES ON IT IN PERFECT CONDITION AND WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH IT PULLING A 5,000# TRAILER WITH A PAY LOAD OF ABOUT 3,000# OR A TOTAL OF 8,000#. WE PAID $13,000 FOR IT LAST DEC. THESE ARE REALLY STRONG TRUCKS. WE NOW HAVE A LITTLE OVER 155,000 MILES ON IT.
