Scalloping July '07

Post by birddog »

I've been accused of scalloping on the sly and not reporting so I thought I'd fess up. A fellow forum member did some brainstorming and developed a surefire plan for getting the scallopers off the ramps and outta the water. The simplicity of the plan was a thing of beauty. Simply get out there and help pick them all up. ........Well, that may be easy to do at St. Joe Bay, but I've never seen such a Motherloade of scallops as there are in the St. Marks area.

Still we did our best.....

Huntn2fish and his family joined us for a weekend of scalloping at SJB.
His wife was a little unsure over getting in shark infested waters....

She found a little courage......

and was soon a scalloping fool too.

The kids really liked it....

We had hoped to go back this weekend but the schedule got a little funky. The kids start back to school this week so I guess I'll have to dust off the rods and reels and learn how to fish again.

Can't wait til next time.

Dang BD, you don't care who you share a beer with do you?
I knew there had to a good reason for you putting down the rods, hanging out with shady characters like that will make any one suffer from temporary insanity. :o :smt009
