Just kidding......
Chalk and I did go fishing though. Met a blury eyed Chalk at the ramp at 6:30 and we took off West in the dark. The plan was to get to some deep water that was behind some pretty shallow flats before the tide cut us off. Low tide being after noon, I thought we had time to make a quick run in and get back out before the door was shut. No such luck. Got up on the platform with the poll and eased around some trying to find not so much a way in but a way out. Didn't want to push it so we stayed in the deeper grass flats the rest of the trip. I started out with the fly rod and stuck with it for quite a while until I just gave up. Thanks to Chalk we got the stink out of the boat with a nice Trout on top water. Ove rthe next hour he landed two really nice slot reds.

to my downfall I stayed with the longpole Then the second one came over the side

Thought I would cool his hot streak off some by taking a few extra photos of the release

I finally gave up the flyrod after numerous pin fish and a few ladys. Chalk broke out the flyrod and proceded to catch us bag limit of grouper!!!! can you believe it? in three feet of water. Here's the big one of the Day

I did manage two slot reds for the day

Got a call from the Misses about Noon saing my oldest boy was tossing cookies and we needed to go home so, under protest from Chalk we headed back to the ramp to call it a day. Thanks for coming Chalk. Had a blast and sorry for almost throwing you out of the boat. Next time I'll worn you before I put the boat up on the sides :smt005
{EDIT}
Everthing was caught on Topwat and Gols and Silver Spoons. Except the grouper. they were caught with Gulp!!!!(Chalk not Me)

Enjoyed it Barhopr....I think we kicked arse for no longer than we fished.

I got a trout on the long pole as well as an unidentifiable fish...it had a forked yellow tail, skin like a mackerel, solid silver and head kinda shaped lke a spanish. :-?

Thanks for the ride, I believe the Ghostrider might be launching there Friday morning, pack your lunch :lol:

The Grouper are real pretty. Nice report & effort with the fly rod. I appreciate the effort to write the whole story.
I like the release shots. What kind of camera is that?
