Lil Chalk was rearing to go this morning, he didn't need any coffee or sugar cause he was bouncing off the walls at 0630 ready to go fishing.

We headed across town and slide the boat into East Bay and headed off to some new water. I caught a few trout on topwater...Lil Chalk caught a trout all by himself...I had one small tsunami form behind my topwater lure, but the red peeled off and I couldn't entice it with my spoon  .

Moved further east back to where me and Lil Chalk caught some a few weeks back....caught a few more small trout, had some good blowups on top but nothing to show for it. Sight casted to one red in the grass....it snapped at the spoon and saw the boat at the same time and vacated the area...saw one more red and called it a day.

Another great day on the gulf with my son

Way to go Chalk. Hated to be down there and not get together to wet a line or enjoy a , but based on my normal sorry azzz guide skills from the day before, the girls wanted to actually catch something (new target...scallops with BD guiding).

put him up on the platform Chalk. He's old enough to push the old man around. It's good you can make time for the little Man.
