THAT WAS A DANG MESS

Post by What a mess »

Got a one day late start due to a malfunctioning kitchen pass.

Nice drive to Mexico Beach showed up around ten settled and in.

We played in the water and then proceeded to the Indian Pass Raw Bar.

We had Apalachacola Sushi & Wasabi, (Oysters & Cocktail sauce) :lick:

Headed back took a nap and then hauled butt to the fabled Crooked Island Sound to show some folks how to "getterdone".

I launched took off ran aground put the boys out to push was eaten alive by some really mean black flies & one off the boys hooked and lost a red.

That fiasco lasted less than 90 minutes, woo hoo the only ones getting it done was them demonic flies that were feasting on us.

Early the next morn a the City ramp at PSJ I am in line this dork jumps me, are we playing leapfrog are we dickweed? :smt009

I get settled in on my drift here comes dickweed, are we playing tag?

He hauls tail and comes back to cut in front of me on my drift! :smt011

I slow my fishing we are covered in bait a repeat of the night before he loses another nice Red.

Here comes another boat flying around me are they going to try to cut off my drift and fish too?

No they are driving in circles throwing a cast net the comes up empty time after time are you dickweeds Mom & Dad? :smt013

I am now Prairie Dogging bad and fly back to the park none to soon for some quality time in the facilities. :o :o

I decide to check out a place CT offered and find I am a chew toy for a swarm of ladyfish. It was fast and furious.

Had a good shark bite on a pin but he got no steel in the face.

We caught the lady fish a couple of lizzards and a large jelly fish. We tried the bait pods on the beach and decided to call it a day. A little action no fillets.

I was supposed to fish today too but said the heck with it I will wait till next weekend and try them again.

The boat did great nothing broke and we had a couple of boys catch some fish.
Yesterday it was taboo today it is normal what the heck will they be doing tomorrow?

Wow...that WAS a mess...I like fishing the shallows around the grass, but I've never had much luck fishing the dickweed areas.

PSJ can get ugly. I got the karma back this summer when a guy completely cut me off when he plowed over the sand bar coming in at the City Pier ramp. His motor stalled and when he couldn't get it started he had to use his trolling motor to stay in front of me. His racin' self was now 4th in line at the ramp but broken motor or not, he was in front of me.
Not over yet. Here's the fun part.
My brother in law just happened to be in the lot watching all of this and since I was using my father-in-laws boat he happened to have an extra key to the truck and trailer. He's ready and takes the number 4 place in line and I ease on by Mr Broke Foot, smilin' cause sometimes there is justice in the world. :D

All those creeks are mine. When you see me come in you should have the courtesy to crank up and leave to another creek.
Same goes for specific drift patterns on the flats.
Remember,JT in you out.

P.S. Chalk; you can bite my prairie dog.

Sounds to me like you need to get out earlier, come in before the "magic-tilt hour" :smt013 ... Avoid the mess and the "other anglers" especially JT51.
