12 pounds 8 ounces not good enough

Post by Jumptrout51 »

Butch and I fished the 7th annual KA fraternity Muscular Dystrophy tournament today.
The format was 2 trout and 2 redfish.
We had both. 2 trout and 2 reds.
Nearly everyone who competed had their limit of fish today. It was a really good catching day.
We caught and released numerous reds and trout today. Most hitting and sticking on topwater.
First,2nd and 3rd places had 20 pounds,17 pounds 16 pounds respectively. (and some odd ounces).
We came in 7th place out of nearly 40 boats.
Wish we had seen some of you guys there.

The reds were 25"&23". One over 4#,one under 4#.
The trout 21"&20". Both 2 1/2 # each.

Big Red for the day 7#11oz.
Big trout for the day 5#3oz.
Big bonus fish was a stingray. Too big for the JBT scales.
