Carrabelle Offshore

Post by Captainclark »

Myself and Captain Melvin Blank left the dock around 6:20. After loading up the live well with 5 or 6 dozen Greenies and Sardines it was time to head off-shore. we hit a wreck in 105' which yielded 2 very healthy amberjack in about 2 minutes. we proceeded to another structure where we were able to get some Mangrove Snapper chummed up. we caught 9 on the surface. went through most of our baits chumming. went scouting for bottom after that ad picked a couple Bonita and a king. All in all it was a good day.

Captainclark, sounds like fun chuming the snaper to the top. If you dont mind, I was wondering where the bait was and how did you catch them. I will be going offshore out of Carrabelle this weekend weather permitting. 8)

You can catch them at most of the towers and larger wrecks. They can also be found in 55' to 65' on or near the bottom. They're moving around a lot so you have to be willing to spend time looking.
