Well I had decided to put a fresh coat of clear coat on my boat.. It was looking pretty rough. I cleaned and sanded the boat all nice and pretty found a nice spot in the yard that I felt like would be a clean semi dust free spot.I did not have room in the shop because of the junk.I then asked the wife what the weather was looking like before I decided to put the first coat .She said it was gonna rain all day. So with it being 2:00 pm and sunny I decided to go a head and put the first coat on ( knowing she was going to be wrong) .I put the first coat on.It looked so good It looked like a new boat .I was feeling that this little project was gonna be short and sweet.I read on the can of clear coat it would take about 4 hrs before the next coat could be put on.So I decided to let her sit in the yard for the night cause it was not gonna rain not here in GA .We had almost forgotten what rain was.So I have a little supper and read the forums and I then realize I need to go to the store.I hopped in my truck and went off to the store. On the way back I said to self what is this on my windshield? I asked self Oh hell it is not a little drop of rain? I Rolled in the driveway in a panic..What is the rain going to do to the clear coat ?I go straight to my boat and touch it and see it is still tacky.I then decide it is time to clean out the shop and make room for the newly painted boat.I get the shop cleaned in record speed and turned my 2 car shop in to a 1 boat and a bunch of crap shop I hooked up to the boat with the wrong ball on my hitch and held my breath as the rains came down.I backed that baby in the shop jumped outta the truck like the Duke boys on crack only to see the the nice clear coat was soaked ..I threw my hands up went to the computer and so here we are ....I am hoping the clear coat is not ruined but oh well if it is.I will see tomorrow .I guess I'll listen to my wife the Meteorologist from now on.
