Left Moultrie dark and early Saturday morning for a little fishing, with the bride and my Dad, no matter how bad the wind was. Stop at Wilson's for some ice and my wife a new liscence. We put in at the marina to suprisingly calm conditions around 7:30. Ran a little south from Marker One to 3-4ft and started drifting the flats. Dad was using Gulp shrimp, Christy was using cut bait and I was using a couple of new Mirrolures I hadn't used lately. Drifting was not problem.
We manged 10 short trout or so and mixed in a few keepers up to 18". Christy got tried of the wind so we decided w'd take her back in. The tide was already out and wind did a fine job of pushing the rest of the water out. Enough water in the channel to float and several folks sitting on the ground. I wish I could've helped but I'd been in the same shape waiting on water. Sorry.
Winched it up on the trailer and headed home. Boat washed, fish cleaned and watching heaven in Jacksonville by 3:45.
Good times
