Leaking yamaha 90 oil level gauge assembly

Post by Chalk »

Anyone dealt with a leaking yamaha 90 oil level gauge assembly? Mine seems to be leaking from around the rubber grommet. Not sure if the rubber seal is just bad or what.

Just trying to figure out what I'm in for other than $114 bones for a new one that doesn't leak :-?

I had the same problem on the same motor. I put a zip tie on it. Seems to be holding.

Yep...I was told a zip tie or hose clamp would fix it

If it's a older 90 and out of warranty you might want to think about doing away with the oil injection and going back to mixing.
