Got there about 8:30 am. Wind was up from what I was expecting. Coming out the mouth I saw bunches of Widgeons. On out there were a couple thousand birds, I think they were ducks.

Water was light choppy , tried drifting out by the bars. No go. Nothing

Moved up to the creek mouths, just getting bites on swimbaits. Went up some creeks but nothing wanted what I threw. Topwater did not produce,

Moving back out I stopped at a good looking creek mouth with some depth and rock grass. Changed to a chartuesse jighead with a white gulp!

BOOM!! 22" Red in the icebox. :-D Been a while.

Next cast....boom!...a 19" keeper trout! things are looking better

Then nothing there, it dies. Moved over to the next creek mouth and BOOM! a 12 lb Jack...what a fight!! :D

Moved on to another moth with some good looking bars...a couple pups.
Then another cast and BOOM! A big red, bigger than the 22" for sure! Got him to the boat and he didn't want to come in... :(

Water started moving out fast, so I ease back out to some bars in deeper water, around 3'.
Picked up 3 keeper trout and several short just under legal trout. Landed a 13" flounder.

Back to the landing by 3.

Icebox count:
4 trout
1 Red
1Flounder

The jig on bottom was the ticket today!
