Hope everybdy's doing good. Haven't had a chance to check in too much lately. I've got a new job that I really like. It just cuts into my fishing and BSing time.

Went out for a couple hours with my brother-in-law yesterday. Left from the fort and went out to where I have a few crab traps in 20'. Got a good mess of claws, three of the biggest black sea bass I've ever seen, about a dozen more normal size sea bass, and a 25" grouper. Had a double hook-up on one pass over a rock pile, but the excitement quickly turned to disappointment as my fish had no trouble at all peeling off line from my too-light outfit and got rocked up (lesson learned). My BIL was using the right equipment so I coached him to put the pressure on. He did. In fact, he did such a good job that the hook on the stretch 25 straightened. :smt013 :smt010

Got the big sea bass and grouper trolling stretch 25. The other keeper size fish were actually in my traps. The bite was pretty dead except for the last 30 mins or so of the high tide. I'm about to slap a grouper filet on the grill and eat some crab claws.

Will raise my glass in appreciation for all those who have served our country in the military.
