Keaton Beach 11/10/07

Post by Breambuster »

Went out on Ddb's boat for a day of cork slinging. We splashed the boat at around 9.00 am and saw Capt McGriff buying shrimp at the marina.....hmmmm, may be we will have a tough time catching pinfish. We spent more than an hour running around with out any success finding bait but got very lucky as a big school of bait (a mixture of pinfish and pigfish) swim by the boat and with one well placed of my 7' cast net, we took care of bait for the day.

With bait in the livewell and nearing high tide, we ran into a nearby creek mouth and started catching fish. Calvin was the first to hook up (not counting all the lizard fish Ddb caught earlier the day).

Ddb got into the action as well..... a double hookup. As usual, i was the net boy. :bang:

I finally hooked up with a red.

And of coures, Calvin got into the reds as well.

On the look out for rocks (No, I'm not peeing off the boat)

Our good neighbour. The picture was taken without the aid of the zoom function. Any closer, they may as well just tie off on our boat.

A good day was had.

The final tally:

Most fish were caught in 2.5-3' water and the afternoon/out-going-tide bite was more productive.

Great day don't worry we like to pee off the boat too, we just don't post pictures of ourselves on the web when we do it.

Good day. I also had a few 'good neighbors'. I was surprised by the number of boats out Saturday with it being the first day of general gun season.
If we are not supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat?
