Up - Maybe

Post by RodBow »

Got out on the very shallow flats yesterday and found that the "UP" on '93 85 hp Yammie TT didn't want to up. Checked all connections, but no change (we were kinda stuck).

Eventually, the thing started working again after repeated clicking.
I only have a TT switch on the throttle - none at the motor.

Q: Is it likely the problem is in the throttle switch?

Could be in the throttle switch. But if it was clicking when you activated the switch, I would guess a bad relay.
What was I supposed to do today?

That sounds like the problem,if you get caught on the water like that, take the hot wire loose from the relays and swap them, that will get you out of a jam and when you get back to deep water you can swap them back to get the engine down.
