Well like the old saying goes, "You can't spell Sugar without UGA".

I can understand LSU but Ou hasn't played anybody (not that they as it is) for several weeks. Sorry Showboat but I don't they belong playing for the championship.

How come they get two bowl games in New Orleans? The Sugar Bowl and the Championship. I thought that the bowls rotated to be the championship each year. And if the BCS is not about money, how come USC always plays in the Rose Bowl?

Double Hosting

The BCS began using a "double hosting" format with the games played after the 2006 regular season. Under this model there are five (5) BCS games annually, including the National Championship game. The four BCS bowl games (Orange, Fiesta, Sugar, Rose) will be held annually, in addition to a National Championship game that will rotate among those four bowl sites each year. Once every four years, one of the aforementioned bowls will host two BCS games: its traditional bowl game and the National Championship game.

just saw this thread...RC, I actually agree in part, but they are in by default.

There are three things a team can do to get itself into a national championship; join a prestigious conference, choose tough out of conference opponents and win. OSU did all three and nobody else did. Does that mean OSU had a tough schedule this year, absolutely not. Without question LSU had a tougher schedule. However, OSU always tries to play good opponents; last year texas and the next two years USC. It isn't OSU's fault that the rest of the Big Ten, Washington (who was scheduled a couple years earlier) and everyone else they played fell face first. Hawaii isn't in a prestigious conference, and EVERYONE else lost (whether in overtime or not). A lot of teams had their chance this year and blew it. I still can't believe Pat White gave a chance for a NC b/c of an injured finger on his non throwing hand. The only thing that has kept OSU from a perfect season was Ron Zook, and there several people on this forum who have had their dreams crushed by a Zook coached team before. He is a good coach and it happens.

There are those that bring Akron into the conversation, moot point, that was OSU's bye week. Tressel always brings in a laughable in state opponent b/c he hates byes, then he splits the proceeds of a game at the Horseshoe with them 50/50.

OSU will be the underdog in this game, as they were when they beat Miami, and as UF was when they beat OSU. Is that right, during what is being called the "Gay-tor era" OSU will have played for three NCs and won a Heisman?

All we have now is 60 minutes of football, and the rankings, analysis and hype don't mean a thing. GO BUCKS.

That being said, my predictions are as follow: GA by 25, Kentucky by 17, Michigan by 4, and the Buckeyes 27 to 17. Chris Wells runs for two touchdowns and 175. Buckeyes have the ball for almost 40 minutes. Golhston and Laurintius each crush a LSU quaterback.

Ya'll want to get together for a NC party? I'll buy for all those in Buckeye shirts.
