Tide question
This time of year which do you guys prefer to fish, low or high tide? Specifically when targeting red fish.
Moving water...Really low tides would probably be great for the deep holes in the creeks...problem is getting there without tearing up the boat or getting stuck. High tides probably spread the fish out more but at least you can get to them easier. I guess it would also be really dependent on where you're fishing. I'm alot of help.

That is the answer in my opinion. Water exchange is the key. If the water is moving the fish are usually eating. As to low tide or high tide, it is really spot specific. I have flats that fish really well on low water but terrible on high water, and vice versa. If I had to choose a single tide to fish this time of year it would be a mid morning negative low with an afternoon 2+ foot high. Also, I like to fish soft, dark bottom (think mud) flats that seem to retain heat well.Eerman wrote:Moving water... I guess it would also be really dependent on where you're fishing.
I don't fish the tidal creeks so I'll defer to Eerman and others on them.
