What was I supposed to do today?
Pops, others on this site can better tell you where to fish. If you've never been in the St. Marks River, there is one hazzard that you have to deal with. The yahts, and large boats that run in and out of that river are the worst anywhere I've been about throwing four foot wakes in the river.
Some will run within 25 feet of you on full plane. Some real idiots over there, be careful. Had a friend fishing over there a few months ago in a 18V Kenner. A large yaht passed him too close in the channel and washed water over his stearn. Scared his wife and two boys real bad.

I have to say if you are fishing that close to the channel you are going to have to live with it. I see idiots anchored in the middle of the channel and tied up to markers every weekend like there is no more water anywhere. I admit that I don't back off on the throttle one bit.
Like the guy who goes to the doctor and says "Doc it hurts when I do this", Doc says "Then don't do that anymore."
