Cavitation plate should be in line with the bottom of the boat...as a starting spot...you might be able to go up or have to go lower....trial and error on a sweet spot.

I would raise it until you start losing water pressure or performance is negatively affected.

Don't tilt the motor all the way up with the motor jacked all the way up.

Looks like that boat has at least a little tunnel. You can crank it up. Like mentioned above, keep a close eye on water preasure and you should be fine. Hydraulic JP's are nice for rigs with poling platforms so you can let the motor down when you need to tilt it all the way up.

I HAVE A BACK COUNTRY AS WELL. IT IS LIKE CHUGBUG SAYS I HAVE TO LET THE JACK PLAT DOWN TO TILT THE MOTOR UP.

NOTE: AT SOME POINT YOU WILL FORGET TO DO THIS AND SCRATCH YOUR MOTOR COVER. ADVISE: PLACE SOME TYPE OF FOAM/CUSHION TAPE EITHER ON TOP OF THE MOTOR OR ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PLATFORM.

Those tires on the trailer might have a small leak, you better have them checked by the boat mechanic. And while the boat is already at the boat mechanics shop it would seem stupid, really stupid not to go ahead and have them install the power pole. Everyone, and I mean everyone knows the best time to install a Power Pole is when the tires are low, or when they are being checked.

My motor will hit my poling platform if I don't lower it....as far as the motor height...you will have to wet test it to see what height works the best.

There was a Back Country that color for sale in Tallahassee was wondering if that was it.
