Board Slowness

Post by Tom Keels »

The board is running much slower than normal. I think I have isolated it to the database server and the host has been contacted. I'll let you know any updates. For now just give the pages a little extra time.

Must be mess with the administrator week. I had a board go dead, and found the host had reset all the permissions.....

Probably just a bunch of SPAM being sent from it and taking up the bandwidth  :-D

From my webhost...
Hi Thomas, I'm very sorry for the poor performance you've been experiencing.

I took a look at your webserver (tyche) and it seems that another customers site was being hammered pretty hard by 2 IP addresses. After blocking those IP addresses the servers load started decreasing immediately.
These guys at Dreamhost are really great. I highly recommend them.
