Keaton area 2/9/08

Post by yukondon »

Four of us hit the water about 8:30 yesterday morning in seach of grouper. Headed out to 30 ft and bottom fished a couple hrs with only 1 short grouper, few grunts and BSB. Decided that wasnt working so we went a little deeper to 45 ft and caught a couple keepers there and a few more grunts and BSB, headed out to about 55 ft and caught 8 or nine groupers. Started getting late so we headed back to the hill before it got dark on us but I wanted to hit the 30 ft spot on the way in since its always produced in the past. Pull to the spot achored and caught 3-4 more groupers in short order until "THE MAN" pulled up on us and decided to check us out,all went well with him but I think it spooked our fish since we didnt get another bite after he left :hammer: All in all a good day, had fun with good company and caught a few fish.
Total for the day
3 red groupers
14 gags
to many grunts and BSB to count
