Finally Got the Maverick to Lanark
After a long 6 week hiatus I finally got the to do list on the HPX-T completed, well mostly still no push pole, casting platform and remotes for the pp. Mounted Chalk's trolling motor which required drilling 4 holes but took a day to do. Running it and the rest of the boat off a 29 group battery..so far so good.
Gave a short test ride Friday. This HPX runs very skinny and floats in an honest 5". I was doubtful of the stats but it really does. It tops out at 37 with the 4 blade prop. Best part is she is absoluted dead quiet when fishing
T and I got to Lanark at 10:30 and had till 2:30 or so to fish. Went E and found a 4 schools of reds, but no bigguns. Only saw a couple trout. The reds were holding on shallow sandy spots and on patches of hard bottom. Had about 12 shots today and caught 6 reds on Nole's fuzzy logic fly...thanks Nole!
The HPX is blooded:
T. on ready to man the power pole switch :
Great to be back on the water

Seems you practice what you preach. You caught some nice fish there.
Glad your boat is doing good.
Your partner is way better looking than that other one.
