Question: how do you make a kingfish stinger rig?

I have the general idea of how to do this.
Swivel to leader to a hook for the nose then leader back to a stinger

But I've got a question...and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to explain it.
Where the two sections of leader meet the nose hook...

Does:
A. Each Leader loop independently through the eye of the hook
B. the Leader from the swivel loops to the nose hook and the trailer leader.
C. they all inter link

I just cant tell looking at a photo.

It's a matter of personal preference. Personally I do it the way you describe in B. If you do it the A method some hooks the eye doesn't close fully so the wire can slip through the gap. C method when the line is pulled tight the first hook doesn't lay in line with the wire and bait. Just my .02

Used ringed eye hooks or solid eye hooks

Four of Owner's most popular saltwater hooks, in selected sizes, are now available in ringed models. Super strong, welded rings in the eye of each hook reduces stress on the hook, making overall unit stronger. Ringed hooks also allow live bait to swim more naturally, and once hooked up, the hook pivoting on the ring tends to wear less of a hole in an active fishes mouth.

Can also get them with Swivels connected to the eye, but thats a lot of hardware to be that close to the bait.

I tie two seperate loops on the front hook. One for the front leader and one for the stinger.

this is stretching from your post a bit....but if you plan on going for kings this spring. Try rigging without a stinger first. If the fish are feeding aggressively it might not be necessary, and without it, especially in clear water, you will get more strikes. Also, instead of using a full-on wire leader, try 4-5 feet of 40-60 lb floro and then 12 in. of #5 wire to the hook, treble or circle. A great knot for tying mono to wire with no swivel is the albright knot, it's a fun one to learn. You can pre-rig a couple stinger rigs, 4-5 in of wire tied to a small treble. So....if you do start getting short strikes, you can tie the stinger wire to the eye of the front hook, you can let the stinger dangle or you can hook to bait behind the dorsal fin. Kingfish feed 95 % by sight, so the less hardware the better. just some info from my experiences,

I ate some last summer and was surprised how good they were.
That memory coupled with the Florida Sportsman article got my mind working.

As an aside- we filleted them, trimmed all the dark meat off, cut the white meat into cubes, breaded and fried the cubes.
It was Great!

Fry them fresh, you're spot on, they're great. Just no good after being frozen, the meat losses texture.
