Lanark 3-9

Post by Talltails »

FlounderPounder and I left out of Lanark this morning at 11:00 AM on the incoming tide. The wind was out of the east at 10-15 all day. We went down to Turkey Point in search of some redfish. There was very little going on down there, and the few reds we did see had no interest in what we threw at them. On our way out of there, we saw Littoral in his yak. Maybe he had better luck in there. We headed west several miles and started looking for trout, and found lots of them in 4-5 foot of water. We caught 20+ trout up to 22" and left 'em biting. Overall it was a long hard day of fishing. It does look like the weather is improving this week, though 8)

You are a little out of your stomping grounds, leave those fish alone and go back to Oyster Bay.

Talltails, I'm guessing that was you that put in right after us. Have you got a Carolina Skiff with a poling platform? Good job on the trout.. It was a tough day for sure. We saw about 70 or so reds today but only managed 1, they where :o to say the least.
