Oclocknee River 3-7 & 3-9
Since I had already took the 7th off for pre-fishin Keaton I deceided to wait out the rain and try my hand at a little catfishin on the river
, But this time I was gonna leave the bushhooks at home and take the rods and reels. Turned out to be a good choice caught 17 channel cats from 2 to 5 pounds
, man those things can pull in a flooded swift river. Went back for more fun on the 9th took the better half this time, proceeded to catch 15 more from 2 to 6.5 pounds
. Since the better half dosen't know how to cast a bait-caster she was stuck with a zebco 33, man have ya'll ever seen a 6.5 pound channel cat hooked on a zebco 33 what a blast she had with that but managed to land it with my expert netting ability. All in all a fun weekend playing in the freshwater. The bait of choice was Sonny's super sticky (stinkie) channel cat bait fished on vinyl worms.

Fishing holes, mudflats, or the shoreline.
That would be a great afterwork activity now that we have extra day light.

Caught my fish off a sharp bend in the river where the current wasn't so strong but was still fairly deep.

Nice catch. We ran bush hooks on the Ochlocknee 3/8 and 3/9. I'll post tonight.

That is some good Catfishing, Chuck.
When are you going to bring your better half to another meeting? She's fun.
