Carrabelle Offshore 4/26

Post by welladjusted »

Took my girlfriend out yesterday in hopes of doing some bottom fishing for grouper and snapper. Left Carrabelle and went out to O-tower and bottom fished but nothing was really happening. Headed back closer to shore and trolled off Dog Island. Managed a few nice Spanish and my girlfriend's first Kingfish. All in all it was a nice day. It was a little rough offshore with the wind blowing. Mostly 3 footers all day long. Nice and sunny though. Back at the docks folks said the grouper were biting in about 40 feet. It was nice to get out there again. I hadn't been out in about a month.

Nice king.
I've heard grouper have been real fickle.

Took a couple divers out Sat. Weather was about the same as Sunday. Much better grouper action in 35-45ft than 65-70ft. First kingfish
