Catching
Sunday, May 4, about 7 PM. Fishing in the surf about halfway between Carrabelle and Eastpoint. Wind was about 15-20 mph out of the west. Water was moderately clear. We were using electric chickens, pink and green. Caught two keeper specs and several we had to throw back and a 23" redfish. Sorry no photos available, but they tasted good

Re: Catching
Unfortunately the jig head and tails are at our place in Eastpoint. The jig head was tied directly to the running line. The line is Stren 15 lb test. The jig head I am guessing is one ounce and the tails are about 3.5 inches long. The jig is somewhat larger than normal. I have tried the carolina rig and see no advantage unless around oyster bars. The knots are carefully tied and tested. Works well for us. Hope this helps.
