Met up with BB and the gang at Jay's cabin and proceeded to head to St Marks. Put in at the lighthouse around 8:15 and proceeded to find somewhere to catch some trouts. First spot, I threw a white Skitter Walk and my pardner chunked a new penny Saltwater Assasin. Shorts were wearing us out. I put a 15.5 in the box and AJ put a chunky 19.75 in the box. Then nothing. We left BB and made the short hop to Ecky. Started a drift chunking a pear white Gulp shrimp. Plenty of shorts them BAM, 22" trout in the box. Started another drift and again plenty of shorts and one helluva cloud headed our way. Rain, thunder and lightning. Put the hammer down on Bow'd back to the light house. Met up with BB and things had been a little slow for them as well as far as keeper fish but they were catching plenty of shorts. Decided to do a little riding around. Left BB again and headed back East for a little bit and found some beautiful botton in 4.5' of water. Picked up a few more shorts and decided to make on more move. A little further east we went and finally found the fish. 4' of water and water temp was 71 deg. AJ threw a redfin and I threw a new penny Gulp shrimp under a Cajun Thunder. AJ boats a 21.75 incher and I put a 19.5 in the box.
we finish out our limits with some nice slot fish. Weighed the largest fish at 3.7, then weighed the largest 5 fish in at 13lbs which included our 2 that were over 20', 22" and 21.75", 2 in at 19.5" and 19.75" and 1 at 18.75". Met back up with BB at the landing and they had found some fish, boating 13 with a 3 man crew. Headed back to the hill for some adult beverages and pictures. Enjoyed it Jay and gang. Oh yea, one of these days, I'll figure out how to change the date on my dayum camera.
