i left the house around 5:30 ran into finsandgrins heading down. then almost ran into a big bear on 98 in st. teresa. launched around 7:15 ran east to try for some reds. fished from the new condos to fsu no action just junk fish. ran out to some deep water to drift for trout no luck. the water was perrty turned up and cloudy. wind was out of the east. so enjoyed a couple of . eat some vienna sausages and crakers and enjoyed being on the water for a while. i did catch a nice shark which was fun. went out to the front side of the reef and boy was it rough. worked my way to a cut and eased through a cut in the reef and picked up a red. also boated a 4 ft. shark . boy was that fun it about spooled a 8000 peen captiva. fished the back side of the reef for a while and just caught more trash. so i decided to run down west of the the ramp and see what was up on the shore line. throw a spoon for awhile no luck. so i decided to try top water and on the frist cast had a 24 in red hit right beside the boat and break about 10 inchs off my glx3 loomis but still got him boated. i decided for breaking the rod he was going to come home with me.
Go to the Gloomis website and follow the instructions for returning your rod for a replacement. I broke a Greenwater last year. After returning it to Gloomis I had a new one in about 10 days.
