hi im new! and a question...

hi everyone. im new to the board but am enjoying it tremendously. my names dave and ive been in the wakulla area for nigh on 20 years. i have a question here though...and im sure imma sound ignorant here, but i cant seem to get my avatar to upload. its always too big or too many mb. cant get it to link to a site pic or url either. what am i doing wrong?

Resize it.

Save the image to your desktop (or where ever) and use photo editing softwhere such as Microsoft Office Picture Mangager and edit the image to "reduce image size".

Did you remember to save your newly reduced size image? If so, then it is still too large. Mine happens to be 60 x 80 pix.

yeah i figured it out. wrong software... wasnt doing the job! mine saved at 150x112. thanx!!!
