So a buddy took my sister and I fishing at Keaton.
Yes it was a touch warm, we went to his honey hole in 18' of water??????????????
One Trout after another many shorts many lost beside the boat.
I hooked five fish in six casts.
It was a little bumpy at first but it laid down after a while.
Many ladies Trout and blacks sis caught a 3' Shark it made her day.
Bit off several times by the Macks but an all around nice day.
Five hefty Trout for tommorrows lunch, again didn't kill them but we caught them.
Not a typo 18' + of water Spotted sea Trout on spoty bottom.
Gulp on 1/2 oz. jigs, he did appologize it was much better last Wensday.
He was crushing the Trout and had ten huge Spanish.

Re: Trout down deep
18 feet?? That is weird. We were at Econfina today and caught the majority of our better fish in 9 ft+....the water was very warm today so I guess that would explain it, but 18 feet is deep. WAM, give me the numbers and I will check it out for myself.........

I did bring a hand held GPS but never took it out of my bag.
I don't think he would have minded but I never brought it up.
