Recently moved to PCB area....

Post by gitrdonegrouper »

I've recently just moved to the Panama City Beach area and was wondering if anyone knew any public/ semi-private freshwaster fishing areas around here with largemouth? Also, any spots around the bay and on the beach? I've tested out a few different flounder jigs and can't get a bite. New to fishing this area. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ;)

Well you hit the mother load of info here....
I could post a few favs but all you need to do is download a chart and start reading through old posts in the inshore report section.
Guys are great about saying where, when and what.

There is public freshwater everywhere.... check out the freshwater report section.

You might not catch many bass, but if you don't mind paddling, you can rent a canoe north of PCB on Econfina Creek. ***This is a totally separate body of water from the Econfina River mentioned on here so often, its pronounced different, too.

However, you can certainly catch bream there. And, you'll also find some of Florida's most secluded, pristine, and beautiful springs along the way. It's worth the trip, especially since you are so close.
