Her first Red & Trout / East of Lighthouse 6/9
I got out on the water mid-morning with my girlfriend not thinking she would actually want to fish, rather than just to go tanning in the sun. Spot one, I get the trolling motor in the water and she asks me "OK, now what do I do?" I laughed it off, gave her the new plfueger I got her for Christmas...well for me mostly..And low and behold her 3rd cast with spoon she frantically turns to me asking for help...FISH ON! She caught, boated, and picked up her first redfish! I couldn't believe it!
We then moved out to the flats by the rock garden to take advantage of the glass calm water. While I'm messing around with the trolling motor once again she goes "Whats that?" She's pointing to a school of tarpon 80 yards away feeding on a bait school. For the first time she see's me freak out in excitement and we then slowly ease towards them and they were gone. Soon after she proceeds to slay the fish catching her trout which was a keeper.
