Second week of tarpon fishing at Indian Pass and still no slime on the boat. Weather was bad for sight casting and we couldn't find any bait flipping on top until 5pm. We did manage to jump one and hook one for about 15 minutes until we had the leader give way. The first fish we jumped was 50-60 lbs., and the second was a good 100-110 I am guessing. The 2 fish were jumped within 10 minutes of each other. I did see the biggest tarpon I have ever seen jump about 300 yards from the boat today, he was a monster. Going back in the morning with my wife and dad, so maybe we can coax one up to the boat for some pictures!!

I hope you get it out of your system today. Sunday you need to be one with the trout...no excuses, play like a champion.

Just go find some fish today so I don't have too work too hard tomorrow, I will probably be tired from pulling on a REAL gamefish!caseycook wrote:I hope you get it out of your system today. Sunday you need to be one with the trout...no excuses, play like a champion.

Sounds familiar. Good luck getting one, they are fun the short periods of time I have had them hooked up.

I feel your pain BG. I'm about to give up on my spots that produced last year. I'm not seeing the quantities but I am seeing bigger fish.
