A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
One of my favorites that I had forgotten, this guy built the boat and the trailer . He has 25,262 miles on this boat since he built it
Here's a picture of the boat
He has been to these places in red via water in this boat, quit an accomplishment
Chalk,
Where is/was the Flats Flyer built? It's very similar to my Bayshore, except it doesn't have the tumblehome aft and a less pronounced Carolina flare. The first BS was a cold-molded plug built by Jarrett Bay Boatworks. Bayshore started making them out of glass. Chaos now owns the molds and has made several significant modifications to them.
I love mine tho. It'll handle 5-ft. seas and still floats in 9 inches of water. And I've got the biggest casting deck in the fleet.
Very sweet. The OBX/Harkers Island stamps are all over them.
Apalach has an antique boat show every year (Oct. maybe?) and they had a Willys skiff and other wood boats the last time I went. Old engines, etc. too. Nice way to spend a morning.
