Find a cheaper FM/VHF band separator/splitter?

Post by KarstRanger »

I need to use my VHF antenna as my FM antenna also. This can be done with one of these splitters. But as much as I shop the Internet, I can't find one that is reasonable. $37.99 before shipping is about the best I can do - that's just too much for a little box with a couple of components in it !!! :hammer:

Anybody have a source for this type of electronics where I could get a better price? It sure doesn't have to be name brand as long as it works.

Here's an example by Shakespeare:

Shakespeare AM/FM/VHF Band Separator

Price Range: $36.95 — $54.99 Avg. Price: $44.12 —— Eliminate the need for a separate AM/FM antenna. This marine band separator allows you to operate AM/FM and VHF radios at the same time without interfering with performance. Comes complete with 10 RG-62 AM/FM cable, 3 RG-58 VHF cable, and connectors installed.
