Okay, it was a redfish pup but it was still a redfish, and it made me happy
. The dog and I left RCB in Mo town and went to St. Augustine for a week. Me and my pops went fishing Monday and caught sailcats, sharks, a short mangrove snapper, and a short black drum. Tuesday we went out again I caught my redfish pup early am on the end of the outgoing tide. Tried some other spots, caught some short trout, then I snagged a good size flounder but didn't get it in the boat, (almost had a inshore slam 
). Then the bite turned off so we went out and caught a mess of whiting and a couple sharks. Both days we used mudminnows, finger mullet, and shrimp for bait; had to mostly work an incoming tide, the outside temp was in the triple digits, and water temp was 75-80. Tuesday I guess we did pretty good, a decent guide that we know had clients and caught nothing 
, and a friend of ours that owns a local bait shop went out and didn't do squat either. The rest of the week I spent time with the rents, lil bro, and met his new sweet thing (great gal 
); sat on the beach and drank beer
