The day started on a good note when I ran into a school of porgy as soon as I idle past the marina. Two well placed cast with my 7' net gave us enough bait for the day. I decided to make one more cast when the bait school came up again and we had enough bait for Ddb as well. Meet up with Ddb and we started the day in the general area we did well on the previous week not too far from Dekle in about 5' - 6' water.
My coworker was the first to cast and the cork went down right away. Fish On!

As usual, I am there ready with the net.

Yep, right at 17".

A couple of cast later he was hooked up again. This one a little over 18". He is now spoiled.

We got a few more keeper fish and then Calvin hang a nice 19.8'' tournament fish.

While I was busy untangling lines, wife ask "where's my cork" .... which followed immediately by the sound of drag screaming. Where's the net??? This one right at 21''

The fishing slowed down, so my coworker went to get a drink, and the wife's lucky charm did the trick.

Carmen decided to give reading a break to catch a fish.

looks like a good fish

Little brother backing her up.

another 19.5'' tournament fish.

the victory dance

Calvin hook up again. This one was heading to St. Marks as soon as the line came tight

Redfish? No! its a gar. Sister turn to backup the little brother.

Into the net

Mmmmm...... What to do with it? Coworker wanted to " try it".

At this point, everyone have caught a fish except me that is. But I think I am getting bit though. Bait of choice for the day

Finally, my lone contribution to the fish box

Other catch worth mentioning

We quit fishing to find some scallop at around 3.00 pm and limited out at 5.00 pm.

Final tally

Like Ddb said, there were quite a few inconsiderate boaters. These guys ran in front of our drift. I can probably reached them with a 3 oz sinker.
