7 reds and a 34" trout

Post by Jumptrout51 »

BirdDog picked me up at a quarter 'til 6 this morning.
Went to Shell Point with reds on our minds.
Not to be disappointed we caught several in the Shell Point area to 25 inches.
Left there and ran past the lighthouse to catch the rising tide into some creeks.
Although the bite was a little slow all day we managed a few more reds.
If anyone finds a pink Skitterwalk in the lip of a 34 inch trout it belongs to BirdDog.
The 34 inch estimate comes from having seen Juniors 30 inch trout. This one was bigger.
Poor BD.

Reckon I better come down there tomorrow then and check on this big trout bizness.....Seriously, I've never seen as many large trout as I've seen this year. Biggest I caught was a 26" which was my personal best. If red tide or something don't mess em up, the next few years ought to really produce some good ones...

The important question is did the boat get parked in the water or on the ramp? Nice day on the water fellas.
