Kudos to Georgia Power
As much as I have moaned, groaned and groused about the Ga. Power sub-contractor's destroying the trees along roadside I freely admit having uninterupted power for the last few days has been nice. All I have done is sit in front of the TV or computer and idled the hours away. Much better than worrying about a freezer full of half frozen food or trying to sleep with sweat running down the crack. Every time I go to South Carolina I marvel how well the State takes care of their many old beautiful trees. Oh well, everything is a trade off------------

When I trimmed trees for FPL, I would make sure that the folks who complained about me trimming their trees where the LAST folks that I cleared the line for power to be turned back on "and I cleared the lines REAL GOOD when I done it"

Sorry it took me so long to answer FRP, The telephone and Internet have worked fine. No problems---Just water, some 6.5 inches.

I was surprised. I am serviced on a small corridor by Colquitt EMC. When we came home Friday night, a lot of folks were without power, but we were on. We went off for about an hour was all throughout the storm. Now the power at my farm went off about 5PM Friday and wasn't restored until 3 AM Saturday morning. It is on Colquitt too.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
